A Taller Kind of Grace

£350.00

Acrylic on canvas, 51 × 76 cm. Unframed

A Taller Kind of Grace comes from my interest in how we carry those who came before us. The paired forms reflect the idea that our children are, in many ways, our echoes, just as we are shaped by our parents and the generations behind them. By elongating and simplifying the figures, I wanted the relationship between them to feel instinctive rather than descriptive, something sensed rather than explained.

Working with a restrained, earthy palette allows the focus to remain on proportion, closeness, and shared presence. The painting sits in the space between familiarity and abstraction, where repetition and variation become a way of exploring continuity, inheritance, and the quiet grace that moves through generations.
