Red Sky is about capturing a feeling rather than describing a place. I was interested in how a single gesture can hold atmosphere, using negative space to allow the surrounding darkness to breathe. A dark, layered surface interrupted by a loose passage of muted red. By keeping the elements minimal, the painting invites a more intuitive response. It exists as a moment suspended, where mood and memory take precedence over form.
