Acrylic on canvas, 51 × 76 cm.
Red Sky is about capturing a feeling rather than describing a place. I was interested in how a single gesture can hold atmosphere, using negative space to allow the surrounding darkness to breathe. The restrained composition gives the colour room to carry its own weight.
By keeping the elements minimal, the painting invites a more intuitive response. It exists as a moment suspended, where mood and memory take precedence over form.
